Mario Glorioso, PE

Mario has over 20 years of geotechnical experience specializing in linear infrastructure projects, such as levees, dams, highways, and railroads.  His expertise includes subsurface characterization, geohazard identification, foundation design, pavement design, and advanced geotechnical modeling; including finite element seepage and stress analyses, slope stability analysis, and liquefaction analysis.  Mario’s geotechnical experience covers a broad spectrum of complex subsurface conditions, such as karst, alluvium, colluvium, and expansive soils.  He routinely provides services to various private and public sector clients, including the USACE, NRCS, and TDOT. 

Prior to joining Aterra, Mario served as the Infrastructure Services manager in Nashville for Wood/Amec Foster Wheeler (now, WSP).  In this role, he managed multiple engineering disciplines, which included teams of geotechnical, geo-structural, and civil engineers, providing consultation and design services for various flood control, stormwater, and transportation projects.  In addition to his role as Infrastructure Services manager, he served as one of five Key Service Leads for Levees/Dams as well as a Geotechnical Engineering Subject Matter Expert
