Kathryn has more than 19 years of experience in land management and conservation with an academic foundation in Soil and Plant Science, and Anthropology. She worked for NRCS for over 17 years implementing Farm Bill Programs (e.g. EQIP, WHIP, CSP, ALE) for improving soil health, water quality, wildlife habitat, forest health and energy conservation. She ensured compliance with NRCS policies and procedures, including NEPA, Wetlands Compliance, and other state and federal environmental laws. Over the past 2 years, as a private consultant, Kathryn has performed property baseline assessments, farmland restoration plans, conservation easement monitoring and environmental education programming for non-profit organizations and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Kathryn’s depth of NRCS experience and broad ecological knowledge provide her with a great set of tools to complement our engineering staff on many NRCS projects.
