Andrew R. Blystra, PE, CPESC

Andy has over 40 years of experience in the energy, geotechnical, water resources, nuclear power and environmental engineering fields. His significant hydropower experience includes due diligence studies for pumped storage projects and conventional hydropower projects, feasibility studies for adding or increasing hydropower capacity at existing dams, and implementation of FERC license article requirements. Mr. Blystra is familiar with and has worked under the provisions of the Hydropower Regulatory Efficiency Act, as well as the Bureau of Reclamation Small Conduit Hydropower Development and Rural Jobs Act. He has also functioned as a senior geotechnical engineer on projects involving new dams and the rehabilitation of existing dams in several states. In addition to his significant hydropower experience, Andy has performed Third Party Reviews of flood studies/calculations and flood hazard re-evaluations at existing nuclear generating facilities.
