As one of the principal investigators, Aterra co-authored a technical report sponsored by EPRI to provide guidance for engineers, hydrologists, regulators, and other stakeholders to determine if there are aspects of flood hazard estimation that are excessively or unrealistically conservative and provide alternative approaches for improved realism in the analysis. The report addressed conservatisms for a broad spectrum of flood-causing mechanisms that are known to be prevalent in the United States.
